House for Sale in Manti

I grew up in a small Mormon Farm town in Utah named, Manti

The Population is now about 3,300 although it has grown quite a bit since I've lived there.

Manti is most known for it's Mormon Temple that sits high on a hill.
 (You can see it in the background of this picture below)
 Every year Manti puts on a Mormon pageant on the temple grounds that brings in thousands of visitors. 

Even though I may not be a practicing Mormon anymore,  I still dream of moving back there some day, or at least somewhere similar.  There is just something very sweet about an old charming farm town. 

So just for fun I looked up real estate in Manti, Utah. I think I fell in love with just about every home listed.  Lot's of fun old farmhouse's up for grabs.  This one just happens to be my absolute favorite.

Single Family 3 bed/1 full, 2 partial baths 1,900 Sq. Ft.

This peaceful historic 1850's pioneer home has been completely restored. Professionally decorated, high-end kitchen with Wolf & Asko appliances. 

It has a  400 Sq ft guest house with it's own bath and heat. 

it also has an Incredible yard. and a 2-car garage with loft.

This house has 4 fireplaces

 A true work of art in every detail.

4th of July Mantel Updated

Do You Ever look at your house pictures that you have already posted and wanted to tweak a few things?

Well that's what I did after I posted My 4th of July mantel in my last post HERE.

So I have changed up a few things already.

First, I switched out the picture of the old blue barn with this adorable saying that I found on Pinterest.

It is a free printable from HMH Design found HERE

Second, I decided to add a number to my Driftwood Sailboat.

Using some stencils I traced out the numbers onto some red fabric, Cut them out and then mod podged the numbers to my sails.  I love the added detail.

The last thing I switched around was I added this old blue drawer.  You may remember it from HERE.

Inside the drawer is just some driftwood, a few shells and this red bouy.

 I really like this whole Nautical Patriotic look I've got going on.  It makes me dream of celebrating the 4th of July at the beach.  Maybe watch the fireworks from a sailboat out at sea.  Nice right?  A girl can dream.

It's amazing what a difference a few little changes will make.  Loving the look a whole lot more.. . .for now!

4th of July Decorating

I Love the 4th of July.

The combination of Summer + Family + Friends + Fireworks + Parades + Celebration + Barbeque's and my favorite colors Red, White and Blue all = Fun! 

I've done a little 4th of July decorating in my living room as well as my front door.

I made this wreath by re-assembling my fall one from HERE.  I switched out the pine cones for stars and flags. Instructions for the fabric rosettes can be found in that post as well.

My 4th of July Mantel includes; my driftwood sailboat that I made HERE, a couple of framed pictures, some bottles, and of course, gotta have a few American Flags.

I sewed two new pillows. This red white and blue one is just your basic pillow with a velcro opening. Sorry it's hard on the eyes,  it's blurry in all of the pictures I took of it.

And then I made this one with some blue and white striped linen fabric. This one is a pocket pillow (instructions HERE).  With this one I sewed a cross across the front.  I'm looking forward to washing it to get the raw edges to fray even more.

 By the way both fabrics are from JoAnn's.  I'm going back for some more of the blue and white fabric, I love it so much.  I'm thinking curtains.

Yes, my boys are watching NinjaGo.

They love that show. I had them hide behind the couch in that last picture.

They are also excited for the 4th with their cool new glasses. . .

That are even cooler in the dark.

Forgotten Bedroom Pictures

Remember when I mentioned that I have a computer full of pictures of projects, recipes and decorating that I have done but just haven't found the time to blog about it. 

Well, I came across these pictures of my bedroom that I took a while back, lost in the mix.  So I'll share them with ya today.

My Bedroom hasn't really changed much from the last time I shared it with ya, probably just the bedding.  I  give my bed a whole new look every time I change the sheets.  I like to mix and match them, and switch up the throw pillows.

I thought this look looked very summery.

It goes well with the rest of the house that I just recently decorated in red white and blue for the 4th of July.

I'll be sharing those pictures with you next time.. . . Unless I forget and they get lost with all the other pictures.

Celery Snacks

I have come up with the Perfect Summer Snack!!!

Ant's on a log are not just for kids anymore!

Recently I started making Ants on a Log for my boy's.  You all know what Ant's on a Log are right? Peanut butter and raisins on a celery stick. 

Well my picky little eaters just like to lick the peanut butter off and leave the celery behind.

But in the process of trying to get them to eat them I kinda got hooked on them myself. And then I started getting creative. I have come up with several different delicious toppings for celery.

These would all be great for a picnic or potluck as well as just a great summer snack.

Peanut Butter, Walnuts, Coconut and Raisins. 

Yes,  it is as yummy as it sounds

Peanut Butter & Fruit

Here I have used strawberries and grapes, but I think any fruit would taste great.

Chicken Salad on Celery

Here I have chopped up a piece of chicken.  Mixed it with some mayo, added chopped walnuts and grapes. Seasoned with salt and pepper.

Tuna Fish & Apples on Celery

I mixed up my tuna fish with mayo and then added some chopped apples.  I like the extra crunch of the apples.  Then I topped it with some shredded cheddar cheese

Buffalo Chicken & Blue Cheese on Celery

This is my absolute favorite one.

Jake and I ate these for dinner one night.

I just chopped up a couple pieces of chicken, mixed it with some wing sauce and then drizzled  blue cheese dressing on top.

The toppings for celery are endless.  Just try to think of what you would usually add celery to and then switch the recipe around to top it to the celery.  I'm already thinking of a few more like, egg salad or fried rice.

I think I will be eating celery all summer long.
