Years ago a friend gave me this recipe for Cranberry Salsa, and I loved it so much that I make it every year. And after you give it a try, you're going to want to make it every Christmas too.
Obviously this recipe is not just for Christmas, but I like to make it when the cranberries are in season. I made some up for Thanksgiving and I added it to my turkey sandwich, which was to die for.
I may never have another turkey sandwich again without this salsa.
2 tart green apples, diced
1 (12 oz) bag of fresh cranberries
1 (12 oz) bag of frozen raspberries
1/2 Cup of sugar
1/2 Cup orange marmalade
2 tsp. lemon juice
Place apples in food processor, pulse approximately 10 times, transfer to large bowl.
Place cranberries and raspberries in food processor, pulse approximately 10 times, add to large bowl. In large bowl add in sugar, marmalade, and lemon juice.
Mix all ingredients together.
Can be served immediately.
Serve with chips, crackers, or pita bread,
We think it taste best on Triscuits.
Give it a try this holiday season and let me know what you think.
